Electric vehicle conversions involves the removal of a number of major components:
| Fuel System | Fuel lines, fuel filter, fuel tank, catalytic converter, exhaust system |
| Cooling System | Radiator, fluids, air filter |
| Engine | The entire engine is removed |
An electric powertrain with less than 10 moving parts replaces the original engine.
As a result, almost 900 parts are removed from the vehicle, resulting in a much simpler vehicle propulsion system.
Computer-controlled service can be monitored remotely.
Later in 2009, REV will offer training for fleet customers to self-service their vehicles.
